According to the Director of Tax Services, Justin Gordon the total 2020 Property Tax Roll is $268,251,520.95. Historically, 80% of the total tax roll is collected in November, equaling nearly $214 million dollars should that trend continue. Gordon adds, “The Tax Collector office mailed 120,700 bills, including notices for tangible personal property on October 30, 2020. It’s the responsibility of the Tax Collector’s office to collect these tax dollars on behalf of the taxing authorities to fund the operations of local governments and fire districts.”
This year, more than ever, the Tax Collector is urging customers to take advantage of their secure online payment options at OkaloosaTax.com. Online payments are quick, convenient, and secure. Other payment options include mail or drop boxes located at each office location.
